About the Author

Riza Wisnom has been a pet groomer for more than 35 years. After working in salons in Oregon and Maryland, she opened her own successful pet spa outside of the Baltimore area and has been operating for 24 years in the same location.

Her work has appeared on the cover of Groomer to Groomer magazine in the USA, in the pages of Toilettage magazine in France, online in the Huffington Post and in various local magazines and papers. She has been nominated for Barkleigh Productions’ Book of the Year and Up and Coming Speaker of the Year awards. She is the author of three successful grooming books on Asian Freestyle called The Complete Guide to Asian Freestyle Grooming, The Art of Asian Freestyle Dog Grooming and Creative Asian Freestyle Grooming.

Riza enjoys traveling to teach other groomers the fine art of Asian Freestyle grooming and has been a featured speaker at seminars in the UK, Portugal, and various cities in the US. She currently resides with her husband and two Dobermans in northeast Maryland.
